Data Visualization
I have always been curious about data visualization and information design and took an online data visualization class with Nicholas Feltron (known for his famous Feltron Reports). I decided to apply what I learned and create a graphic on meteor strikes around the world, showing the respective sizes of the meteor strikes relative to one another.

The challenge I faced was to understand Processing – to learn how to use the language and code to read the csv file provided. I also wanted to learn how to use this piece of code to analyze and present the data in an easy and intuitive way.
As a designer coming from a visual background, learning how to process code opened my eyes to understanding how data visualizations worked. After getting the raw data to work with, I was able to apply my visual and design background into making the graphic more visually aesthetic and easy to understand.
